Steps to Sand Machans Beach

A great house in Cairns right by the ocean, we really enjoyed our stay. Positive: The house is simply incredible. We had 4 wonderful days in Cairns. The kitchen facilities exceeded all expectations. The hosts provided a detailed information folder. All questions were answered there. The key handover was very straightforward, and we could park the car directly in front of the property. The rooms were very clean, and the bed linens were delightfully fresh. All rooms are lovingly furnished. The garden is a little paradise. We had breakfast outside in the garden 3 times with a view of the ocean. It was wonderful. We would have loved to stay longer, and if we vacation in Australia again, we would book the house anytime. It was worth every dollar. The location is unique. Right on the coast. In 20 minutes by car, you can be in the city, and the Daintree is about 1 1/2 hours away by car. The Skyrail is also reachable by car in 20 minutes. A great starting point for excursions. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in this wonderful house. Negative: There is nothing negative about it.. The house was simply wonderful.

Positive: The proximity to the beach (non-swimming) is beautiful, amazing views for sunrise/sunset. Comfortable size property for family on vacation. Negative: This is a very remote property - a car is mandatory! Outdated/uncomfortable furniture - mostly set up for 4. The aircon didn't work, despite being informed on day 1 it would be seen to A complete set of glasses would be good and a step from the main bedroom to outside. Wifi and cellphone reception are very intermittent.

Nice quirky house in great location but wouldn’t stay again due to the lack of privacy Positive: Great location right on beach Negative: No privacy. Booked through agent only to have the owner wander onto property for “a chat”. Owner lived next door and no fence and could see straight into house. Curtains didn’t cover windows. Most disconcerting. Inadequate bedding in main. Quirky property with a lot going on. Light didn’t work on front veranda causing a fall on the inbuilt cut out step resulting in injury.
