Modern Apartment with Esplanade Views Near the Hospital

Newly renovated unit. Overall, property was overpriced and poorly maintained, poor customer service. Positive: Location was convenient to the city attractions. Unit has been recently renovated. Dedicated car park. Negative: Our experience with this property was quite disappointing. None of the air-conditioning remotes were working, and when we contacted the host, she stated that such issues are only addressed when reported by previous guests — essentially deflecting responsibility for maintaining the facilities. She also mentioned that her standard service turnaround time is 24 hours, which we felt was unacceptable given that we were paying more than the cost of a five-star hotel in Melbourne per night. When we raised this concern, she abruptly ended the call and did not respond to further attempts to contact her. After reaching out to Booking.com customer service, someone was finally sent to replace the batteries in the remotes. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The air-conditioning vents, particularly in the living room, were extremely dirty, with visible black mould or moss buildup. We had to turn off the air conditioning and stay few days in unpleasant heat, as it did not feel safe to breathe the air coming from the unit. Additionally, the apartment is located in an older building, with worn off and dirty stairways and corridors. There were roaming cats and cloths visibly hanging in other units along the walkway to the unit. Overall, we cannot recommend this property due to the high price, poor customer service, and unmaintained condition of the air conditioner hygiene that posed a health risk to us.

I am so thankful we chose this property! It was perfect! Check in was a breeze after we spent 25 hours traveling! As a family with food allergies and dietary restrictions, when we travel - we like to have a kitchen. We grocery shop daily and love to fully immerse ourselves and “move in” temporarily. The location wa amazing. Every morning, we made our breakfast and enjoyed it on the balcony. We watched a marathon one day and just enjoyed the view on other days. We took daily walks along the walking trails, enjoyed the coffee and cafe on the corner and went to Rusty’s almost every day it was open! The kitchen was well stocked and we LOVED the Nespresso maker! Plenty of pots, pans, etc. We asked permission to host my sister and her family of 5 (also traveling from out of country) for dinner and it was granted. We had plenty of utensils, etc. My daughters loved the room they shared. The shower was great. In a family with 3 girls…we ran low on hot water. But that happens! We used the washer and dryer and loved being able to do our laundry. We had plenty of linens and towels. The Dyson vacuum was amazing and I used it daily to get crumbs and sand from our beach trips. This apartment was perfect and felt like home for our family on an amazing, bucket-list holiday. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to call it home for about 2 weeks.

We loved our stay. The host allowed us to check in early. It was clean and very comfortable. Great location to all ammenities and cairns CBD. Would definitely recommend!

Location, location, location (restaurants “Cock & Bull” on Grove St and many more are 15 - 40 minute walk) Caitns ho Positive: Location, location, location . The modern decor and ease of communication with property management. Negative: I can’t think of anything at this time.
