Affordable 2-Bedroom Apt with Pool, Central Cairns

Decent apartment but surrounds were not great Positive: Decent facilities Negative: The apartments themselves (not inside the rental) are very dirty

Positive: Not much! So called Modern Appartment was a cheaply renovated unit in a very dated block of units with no access to the advertised Sheridan St but entry into carpark in McLeod Street. Entry to the carpark engendered a worrisome anticipation with a number of unregistered or damaged vehicles and no directions to accommodations. A friendly resident directed us through an alley up a tatty stairwell to the unit. An outmoded keybox proved too difficult to access and a call to the owner was necessary. He reiterated no refund was available so we capitulated. Negative: Drawer next to main bed contained two opened boxes and two empty condom sachets prompted check of bed linen which was fresh and clean. However this prompted less confidence in the cleaning of unit ..drawers in robe grotty. 2nd bedroom had no ac. Shower box was small and a step up into same. Cheap toilet and vanity which was already from swelling from water damage. Single Kitchen sink 1960s vintage.

Very comfortable Positive: No breakfast provided Negative: No Privacy lock on toilet/ bathroom door.

Comfortable apartment & great for families.

Positive: Clean ,tidy apartment. Basic kitchen but all you need. Negative: Unfortunately couldn't swim in the pool,was dirty.
